sounds great except that they never tell you that they dont really thin much. the logging companies just take most of the big trees out of the forest. they say they have to to pay for taking out the little ones. this is what happens in reality. after the thinning you have a forest of exactly the same sized small trees with lots of space between each one. okay for just a few of the forest animals. not good for most.
the way to stop forest fires is to have a healthy forest that has rotten debris on the floor that stays moist. thinning and burning out the forest only makes it hot and dry. it is the new way the ogging companies use to convice the public that the forests need man to manage them. and the men to do it is loggers.
