Say there are two hearts on the flop and one spade. You hold the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] . An Ace on the turn or river will give you three of a kind but an A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on turn or river could give your oppenent a flush. So you have to discount your outs and subtract the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] out.
