This concept was developed bc tight players save money on collections bc they win fewer pots and adjust for the time pots. It also saves time bc some dealers take forever to take the time from everyone.

It's possible that I did misunderstand, although at my game today there was a 30 minute segment between visiting fish where the game tightened up considerably, no hand went past the flop, and no pot got over 5BB. I was never asked to repay anyone for the time charge.

Then again, I did leave the table for about 2 minutes, so it's possible that the time poster took $7 from my stack.
