I recently bought a new monitor with 1600x1200 resolution capabilities. However, it will only display 1600x1200 in 256 color mode. I assume that I need to buy a better video card in order to view 1600x1200 in 16 bit or 24 bit color. Is this true? If so, can I find a card to do this for me that is under $40. Thanks!
