So if I want to play raise 3-4 bb and fold if the other big stack comes over the top?

As long as I am over the 10bb mark a push is a poor play no matter what the other stacks are? Or is it just that the other big stack can break me that I don't want to push?

The other big stack called the all-in with kings and I didn't spike an ace and was out 2 hands later. After thinking about it I thought I made a mistake and wanted to check here.
