Trying to make a living off 2-4 when starting with only a few hundred dollars is nearly 100% certain to end in utter failure and broke-ness. Add to that the fact that you'll almost certainly not break $4/hour playing (even if by some miracle you don't go broke), and the certainty of this plan being a "bad idea" is complete. You could make more money manning the drive-thru at McDonald's, and at least there you'd probably get free meals.

The fact you're a 2-4 player planning to "take a shot" at 5-10 means you're probably not half as good as you think you are anyway. A living cannot be made playing anything less than 10-20 in live games, unless you don't mind living "on the other side of the tracks."

I suggest you study up on the concepts of bankroll, hourly rate, standard deviation and gambler's ruin before you think about trying something like this.
