I am not necessarily saying that you should pay live rather than online, just making you aware that the games are much looser live and that is what most books are addressing. Most people think that there is still more money to be made online due to multitabling, getting more hands per hour, not having to drive to a casino and wait for a seat to open up, etc.

As for tells, if you are still playing low/micro limits, your time would probably be better spent right now focussing on strategy and not worrying too much about tells, but Caro's book is something worth reading at some point. My general advice to you is not to try to "act" or fool your opponents into doing what you want. Instead, try to bet (or raise, call, etc.) exactly the same way every time. It will make your life easier.
