Default Re: Barry Greenstein\'s book preorder Amazon.com

Amazon's estimates are often way off, especially in situations like this, where a book hasn't been released yet. I think the idea is to promise worst case delivery, assuming publisher delays, etc. I got upset a few times when I placed orders there and the delivery estimates were a month or two, but the books arrived in like 4 days. They do the same thing with shipping estimates - always like 9 days for ground/saver, even though UPS rarely takes more than 3 or 4.

I wouldn't worry about this book being hard to find. I was at the Gambler's Book Shop last week, and overheard that Greenstein/the publisher had 100,000 copies printed on the first run, which is apparently unheard of for something like this. (or maybe it was 200,000? I dunno, I just remember he was saying it was like 5 or 10x more than expected)
