I find it a common problem that people grossly overestimate their own abilities in the most inappropriate situations and thus it leads them to making totally ludicrous plays that inadvertantly make their opponents much better players than them.

How many times have you played in a live tourney and seen some totally hopeless player talk about how they folded because they didn't want a coinflip, when in reality it would have probably been the best possible thing that they could hope for considering their incredible lack of skill.

Basically almost everyone that reads this forum would be best served by always trying to make the correct play. Don't make intentionally overtight folds because you believe you can outplay your opponent later, because most of the time you are misjudging the situaton. I would only do this if the situation was an extremely close call, and I mean extremely close...never in a spot like this where it's unbelievably clear cut.
