Default Re: Dealer Tips

[ QUOTE ]
I have no issue letting others know what I make as a dealer. I am not ashamed of what I make and how I make it. The one thing that has kept me going all these years is to be sincere in my thanks when I receive a tip. Without the players generosity, I have nothing.

I really appreciate the replys from the actual dealers in this thread. I have made a post before explaining my situation before . (graduating duke in a month, not wanting to go into the corporate world but still wanting to make an honest buck), and reading this thread has only made me more confident in my decision. It is very apparent that the dealers that responded here are satisfied with their jobs and take pride in their professionalism and customer service. All of the advice I have gotten about going to be a dealer has always been peppered with warnings about those not so polite people that refuse to respect the job you do, and this thread is no different. But in the end, as I expected the true professionals rise above this, with the exception of a little name calling. I will probably be PMing you dealers out there for further info about securing a job and such and I hope that you will be as courteous and informative as I suspect you will be.
