Seems like at the low buy-in games where I wallow (10s and 20s) people foolishly fear the flopped flush -- now THAT'S alliteration -- more than they should be willing to protect hands like top pair. Hell, I know that I'd lose this holding AK if you came out betting 'cuz I'd raise all-in.

But yeah, were I the OP I'd still bet the flop (perhaps 2/3xPOT) in the hopes that someone loose spiked a set, two pair, or a baby flush. Otherwise I doubt I'll get paid off.

I think you're just screwed. I'll take a pocket pair that spikes a set on the flop over a royal flush any day... not that it's an especially insightful comment. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
