Equifax is only one of three major credit reporting agencys, experion and trans union being the other two. You will want to know where you stand with each one. Starting this year the FTC is making these agencys give you access to your reports for free once a year. It is being implemented over the course of this year by region. You can go here

Actual credit reports are hard to decipher though. When someone pulls your credit they are going to get your fico score. It is determined by a formula using info from your reports. You will have a fico score for each agency. The only place you can your actual fico score is from
www.myfico.com. They are about $10 a piece, but look around the internet for coupons to knock a few bucks off.
