You don't want to limp UTG as it is too likely that the hand will get raised behind you. Furthermore, you will have bad position throughout the hand. You would like to get it up against the blinds.
Especially bad is limping from the SB. You only have one hand to beat! He could have anything! You want his blind, and you want it now! He has a (quasi) random hand. Say you limp with QJs and the flop comes down

You don't know where you are. He could easily have 52. You find yourself playing the hand out of position against a hand you have no real info on. This is bad! Blind stealing is good! The only time I would limp from the SB would be if BB was really aggro,and I was very confident he would raise preflop, thus enabling me to reraise.
