Well I am finally done, would like to thank you for your guys tips in the previous post. Was fun I must say, really does drain you, don't even wanna think about poker for a week or two. But I have noticed a lot of improvement in how I can handle it compared to when I first started. Am able to make decisions faster and I even got a good read or 2 lol. I project that if I did this on a daily basis I could work my way up to be a winning player at 24 tables of $2/4...I think that would be the absolute cap though, and I'm pretty sure that if i did it I would never be able to play another real poker game again. Anyway, hope you enjoy the movie: http://www.pokermentor.net/ftp/20_tabling_video.avi
just one final strategy question....
The only real way to get 2 bets in at .5/1 is to checkraise, but the chance of even 4-5 players letting it check through is scarily high, almost a herd mentality, so I had to make some hard decisions about when to go for it and when to not. What do you guys think?

LOL, that was so funny. I thought you were going to do it on 5 Dell LCDs with three computers. All on one screen was too funny. I liked the soundtrack too. It went well with the action.
Would be interesting to get your stats and win rate for that session. LoL.

Man, thats ridiculous. Nicely done. One little mechanics question, do you just sit back and let each table just pop up when its your action? Or do you click on a specific table when your involved in a big hand?

You must have a really good system and connection to handle all those tables. Would you consider using two mouses to keep up with all the hands? It would be cool to see two mouse pointers clicking on all the tables popping up.

ty, and tables pop-up on their own most often, but otherwise I will see it flashing and click on it. That's the most stressful part keeping cool while you see 5 tables flashing simulatenously. And if I catch up with all my hands sometimes I will just scroll through the tables. But I have cought myself paying too much attention to individual hands, most of the time I don't even get to see the outcome lol

Great job, congratulations. For the benefit of anybody who didn't call up his stats, he made 4.0 BB/100 while doing this.

4 BB/100! Thats excellent. I figure you were doing at least 50 hands/hr/table so that would be 1000hand/hr or $40/hr. Very good. Could you do that for 40 hours per week? Lol.

I'm not doubting you, but maybe your PT screenshots aren't telling us something. Or maybe I'm interpreting them wrong. The problem is that your sessions all start at different times, and instead all end at the same time. I'd expect the 20 tables to all begin at around the same time.
Regardless, the video is still very, very impressive.

not all tables stay full. he has to open up new ones once in a while, when tables break up. his multitable ratio is > 17.

true that, I was protoss and they needed absurd micro ^^;; it is so amazing that SC is still up and running competitively, I mean I played that game 5-6 years ago. I would really like to see the replay for the best game of it ever played, and if the game has practically been solved yet
on a side note it seems just like poker is the perfect for computer gamers, MMORPGers finally being able to min-max without being bitched at for being anal, and people who want to master a game just for the love of mastering a single thing (SC & CS) now being able to derive large amounts of $ from it.

Of course, I normally just got lazy with Protoss and built as many Carriers as the unit limit would allow in the giant 8 player games I'd play with friends. Nothing is funnier than seeing two people conspiring to kill you as you take over the map, ganging up on one carrier fleet while sending another army to attack your other flank... just to find another giant carrier fleet waiting for them.
Ah memories... It was the cheesiest strategy known to man, but to implement it with the maximum number possible was beautiful.
Maybe I should try adding more tables to my game now, I never really thought about the RTS backround being a help, but it certaintly applies in this situation.
And while the video is amazing, the 4 BB win rate is just incredible 20 tabling. It may just be .5/1, but I assumed you HAD to at least drop to 3~.

You have no idea what you're talking about sir.
Protoss were the macroing race, unless you're a Garimto-type it's Zerg and Terran that need the quick hand speed. That's why there are so few Korean professional gamers that Protoss. Hence the foreigners like Nazgul, Rekrul, and HellGhost (I think) playing as toss only.
Edit: What was your APM? I only hit 120 APM in a game less than 30 mins. In comparison for those wondering, progamers are typically 300+ though some manage to get by with 150+.

Hey, we ought to have some kind of tourney at the end of the year for everybody who completes this challenge. Start them off at 12 tables, add 2 tables every hour, no breaks, require that they maintain both a positive BB/100 and a certain hands per hour per table rate, and last man standing is the super-high-almighty-pee-in-a-jug-with-one-hand-grand-pooh-bah of multi-tabling.

As I watched, my wife came in and said, "What the ----?" And when I explained she was duly impressed. I'm impressed too, can't quite figure out how you guys play 8,12,14,20 at at time - tried playing three tables at once and had issues, but to see you do 20 - wow.
Very nice. Thanks Ancient for setting up the mirror for us.

LOL, it's interesting how the must fun time in that game was also my noobies days playing BGH. Was having the time of my life and each fight seemed so epic, getting very skilled was fun too but in a different way. I think these same feelings apply to poker, like I don't enjoy it how I used to.
There's also something ironic about the stages of SC. Real noobies are like "carriers OMG <3", and then 1 step up the players are like, "stfu noob, carriers suck", but then somewhere in that final stage you realize that carriers do have legitamit uses

I used "my screen recorder 2.4". It was the best one I could find. Initially I used cam studio and netu2 mediaCam but resulted in even choppier movies.

I played SC for 2 years back in the day before the APM software was even out, was actually playing WAR III when it did come out.. They didn't even have replays back when I played lol,
The game seems to have changed a lot since back then, but you caught me anyway:) I wanted to compare 20 tabling to SC somehow and was hoping no SC experts would read it^^;; But anyway, why is toss macro, they have so few units? I just remember having to take care of the ones I did have, I would argue that macro is more important than micro for 20 tables anyway though:P
is it still T > Z > P > T? , I know that is over simplification, but it did have some substance to it when I played, the better player still usually won though
ps. those progamers with 300+ click each action 3 times ^^

Another legitimate use of carriers was to freak out drugged out floor mates in freshman year. They'd come back all on schrooms and I was playing a late night game against a friend who wanted to play me. So I had gotten bored and was just building carriers, and they all watch the carriers fly across the screen, each intently following them, and then all going "HOLY [censored] WHAT HAPPENED" when the fighters popped out.
And BGH, plz u noob! We made out own 8 player map of Europe. In this particular game I was in Morroco with the rest of North Africa and some of Spain full of expansions pumping out carriers. Absolutely awesome 8 player map as all the different countries you'd start in had distinct advantages and disadvantages and required different strategies, and different expansions let you basically have control of a big piece of the map. (Take the Corsica expansion and no one can expand to Italy, Swiss, Greece, take UK and no one can get to Iceland or Ireland easily.)
The best part of the CARRIERZ NOOB people was their tactics consisted of giant Archon rushes instead. HYDRAS NOOBZ complainers used guardians, it was almost universal. If someone hated one unit they only used one specific other unit. So of course when they saw a single carrier on your side they'd just go after the carriers assuming you had nothing else as you retreated back toward your base, and targeted a Templar attack right in their path.

IMO, you didn't get any takers on your question because it is a poorly phrased question. What do we think about what? Whether check raising is the only way to get 2 bets in at $.5/1? Whether 4 or 5 players at $.5/1 are likely to check through? Please clarify exactly what you are asking if you expect some semi-intelligent responses.

k sorry I am not a very articulate guy the thing about 4-5 players checking through was just an observation, and I was asking if I should take that chance since check-raising is really the only way to get more than 1 bet in at .5/1, very rarely do I see players raise. I know it's more of a qualitative than quantitative question.

Spoken like a chobo. Lets examine the matchups. PvT is all goon + speed zealot, flanking the terran push. MACRO.
PvZ is all getting an expansion fairly early and then pushing out on mass with zealot/goon/temp/obs. Yes templar are a bit of micro, but not really that much. Point and click.
Where as TvP is all spider mines and seige tanks up and down and drops in the back ground, and ZvP is all lurk/ling/scourge contain.

Can someone post a working link to the video? I can't stand reading all the hype and not being able to watch it!

Oh man, it was so good. You're totally missing out by not seeing it yet. I coudln't go through living if I knew how good the video was and wasn't able to see it.

The video is real good, the only problem is that it's the frame rate is low . I would really like to see this guy live playing 20 tables . Maybe a higher quality movie could make it.

What would you suggest he do if the video doesn't come back up?
I'm almost certain that something could be worked out with Mentor and suicide will not be neccessary.
