Re: AQo, bad autobet?

Flop bet is ok with 2 overs and a backdoor nut flush. You didn't get raised and got a few people out. With the blank on the turn and someone else betting out now, I would figure that at least one of...

I am interested in the probability of improving various starting hands. I am also interested in how to calc the information on my own.

Re: I played these jacks horribly....help me out

Not sure I would have capped PF with the button cold calling two bets, a reraise, and then MP1 calling 2 bets. The cap isn't going to push anyone out and there is a good chance you are up against...

Re: AA too far?

Results:

UTG had Q8o and Button had KTo. I wish these hands would call my rockets every time. In this case they both had me beat though.

Thanks for the analysis.

Re: AA too far?

Exchange rate put's it close to a $2/$4 game. Being a newbie, can you provide me with the dividing line between small stakes and micro?

Re: UB Reload 50% up to $100 per Player Appreciation Week

You could probably do it as long as you withdraw before the promo starts. Not sure about UB but some casinos void the bonus if you make a withdrawal during the promo period.

Re: Importing Hand Histories You Are Not Involved In

How are you importing these files? I didn't think PT was supporting the format just yet.

In answer to your question, I personally have no problem with this from an ethical standpoint.

Re: Importing Hand Histories You Are Not Involved In

They go into a hand history folder under the party poker installation folder. You can simply delete the files if you want to. Not sure if you can turn off the feature or not.

Re: Taxes on online winnings

Hi Slick, here is what I do. I have been playing online blackjack for some time and am relatively new to poker. I have been tracking wins/losses in Quickbooks setting up each casino to look like a...

Re: Sit n Go Standard Deviation Question

Just calculate based on individual data points of your return. If you want to make independant of entry fee size, just divide. So, for a loss your data would be -30/30 or -1 (1 entry fee loss). For...

Re: Multi-tabling, which recording method gives a more accurate SD?

I'm not sure that "more accurate" necessarily has meaning, it just kinda depends on the data you are interested in. For me, I would prefer to track each table independantly so that I would have...

Re: Multi-tabling, which recording method gives a more accurate SD?

If you are talking about the SD of $ won/lost, then I would think that combining tables would lower your SD (decrease your variance. Bad beat on one table makes less of a difference. This is...

So, this covers not getting another 7 (or getting another depending on how you look at it), but what about flopping trips to give you the full house. Can you help me understand the calculation for...

Re: AK vs. AK suited

Congrats on the win.

Some intersting notes on what happens on the flop.
Say you hit 2 of your spades and he hits on of his suit, now you are exactly even. Each with a chance to win 4.55% of the...

Re: Probability PP is ahead on flop vs overcards

OK, I will give it a shot. I hope someone with math skills will double check this for me. I am a bit rusty.

Some assumptions: AK is not suited, and we know for sure that we are dealing with AK.

Sure, I can setup a temp account for you. Have you tried zipping it? xls files usually shrink quite a bit with no graphics.

Re: Probability Falicy

I would tend to agree. Poker play is only partly mathematical. Probabilities should (IMO) only be used as a guidline for understanding what is likely or unlikely to occur. With this said, it is at...
