Re: Another \"should I bet?\"
Right. If I am a consistent winner. But 6.5 hours is not enough data to make that conclusion. Therein lies the rub.

Another \"should I bet?\"
Another bet proposed by a friend.
He has proposed that for every $1 I lose at PartyPoker, I pay him $0.10. For every $1 I win on PartyPoker, he pays me $0.20.
The bet will stop once I've won...

Re: Card Patterns in Online Poker
Nothing is truly random. The question, really, is how closely one approximates, or simulates, randomness. The physical shuffle and the RNG algorithm used online are both simulations of randomness. ...

Re: Card Patterns in Online Poker
Thanks. Good explanation, very clear. I tend to agree now that "aberrations" seen online are simply a function of (a) more hands played online (many more hands seen), and (b) not much time spent in...

Let's make the (correct) assumption that I don't NEED the money. I.e., I can lose the $1,300 and $2,000 comfortably. I just want to make a positive EV trade.
Thoughts?

Re: Odds to flop a draw?
I thought that a 4-straight meant that of any 5-card completed straight hand, you have 4 cards already. regardless of the number of outs.
So, with a single gutshot straight, you already have 4...

Re: Odds to flop a draw?

For example, in case of...
