Re: moneymaker/fossilman who\'s the real deal??
Fossilman is obviously better.
Moneymaker sucked out so many times, especially at the last few tables or against good players it was almost embarrasing. He made the final table only because he...

Why I decided NOT to play the WSOP Final
5,000 players..........what a lotto.
Yea, I won an online tourney with 4600 players once.
I was just lucky to have a rush at the last 2 tables.
Who wants to play for 7 days..... with early days...

raised pot is better
A raised pot makes it easier for you to call 1 more bet to see the turn.
If players are calling raises just as easily as limping in at your table then you should often be raising with this type of...

Do something different, cause what you're doin don't work...
Seems like you are very PREDICTABLE, mix it up more.
Perhaps playin your highs more actively would...

Not really that good............
Most of the PS leaderboard players just play a LOT of tourneys. They aren't really that much better, but they do have to get lucky to win.......just like most players do!

Straight forward Party
RAISE utg w AJ: why?.........
You are at Party where people will play anything.
Tournament: winning a few chips is fine.
Bet on the flop. Straight forward play is best in big tourneys and...

Big dog
Sounds like you are doin fine.
You must take some risks to become the Big Dog.
Taking a few risks early may change your table image enough so that you get more value out of playing tight later when...

do ya feel lucky.......well, do ya, punk?
Whenever you play a draw against an obviously 'made' hand you must get 'lucky' to win.
Yes, you do have the odds to call, tho I think the effective odds are more like 2.5 or 3 to 1 depending on...

Call, Push, or Fold
I agree raising puts too much of your stack at risk.
Call, depending on how table is playing.
Push all-in and take your chances.
Fold, and let the blinds fight it out!
With the blinds this high...

In this situation, pushing pre-flop is my choice
With your small stack and 6 players I would push pre-flop.
A real re-raise puts 50% of your stack in so put it all in.
You don't really want to see a flop here unless you are willing to fold when...

possible solutions
1. Play at higher limits where the money actually means something to you.
2. Play in a way that maximizes your profit per minute. Go all-in with good hands when heads up. (Odds are better with a...

no right or wrong
Holdem play is situational, there is no right or wrong.
Omaha is a card driven game....... play is more straight forward and I agree that variance can be less for good Omaha players.
