Re: 10-20 5 handed online hand--perfectly played?
If the typical short games at Party Poker are similar to their Paradise counterparts I'd say you played it pretty good. I don't know if you won but I'm pretty sure you didn't get raised on the river...

For what it's worth she had pocket kings. Under normal circumstances I would have popped it back to her at least once more but against this opponent...like I said, she had me spooked.

Not so interesting but I\'m spooked
20-40 game. The only difficult opponent is a woman sitting to my immediate left who seems to be getting her jollies sitting out every hand unless I'm in it. Then she just raises every time I bet and...

Re: How about a report forum
I think reading how rharless checkraised two respected 2+2 posters/players off of their hands on the flop nicely falls into the "Gossip" category.

A very simple question
A gang of five young guys invaded my local card room yesterday, playing at a limit it was obvious they were not comfortable with. Two pros in the game, myself and this new crew.
It went around...

I'd recommend you spend a few hours playing low limit before you jump into your first live cardroom game, whether in Vegas or elsewhere.
Live play is not more difficult, it's just different from...

Question for online short game players

Re: a thin hand in a big pot
Reraise preflop if you're going to play it.

The river? Yes, I like your bet. I don't think you have to fear a check-raise here.

Re: When do you tap your bankroll?
It depends how high you want to play. I recently took online winnings to finance a nice long holiday. I had been playing 10-20 or 15-30. Now I'm playing 5-10 and 3-6. Not for too long I hope. Best of...
