Re: A9s How\'s my line?
Not sure I like the turn checkraise. What do you do if he 3-bets?
Pretty hard to put people on a hand when they play this passive.

Re: blind crazy
I'll take a stab, as I had this problem for awhile too.
The money is not yours. Sure, you put it out there, but it is no longer yours.
Sometimes, you have to defend the blind, yes. But not...

Re: Party 3/6 AKs Hand
Take this with a grain of salt, I am still new at the critque thing. This is how I would play it given no reads.
I would 3-bet the turn and see what happens. CO reeks of diamond flush draw until...

Re: Good, bad, ugly? (Slowplaying pocket kings)
I find, more often than not, that slowplaying anything preflop is a bad idea. You are just asking someone to hit something.
I reserve slowplaying for something like a made boat with a flush draw...

Actually it looked like total and complete trash. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
It was the pot that was looking good. What can I say, I like the big pots..

Results and Thanks
I won the pot as SB had 4/8o for two pairs, it was a nice start to the short session and gave me the image of a complete moron (apparantly not wholly untrue).
Thanks for putting me in my place. I...

Standard river bet? No solid reads.
When he called the 3-bet, I thought I might have a good shot at winning if I just applied pressure.

Big pot: I am a fish.
Ok, I had time to play a short session today. I sit down and post and get this hand. A monster.
The pot looked like it was going to be a pretty good size, so I called the preflop raise.
I...

Re: Did I miss a lot of bets?
I'd 3-bet the turn. If just called, bet/raise the river.
If the turn is capped, I'd check/call the river unless it was a boat card or a 3.
I'd put button on top pair, I doubt you have to worry...

Re: Evolution of a poker player (thanks 2+2)
Looks good. Stay aggressive until you have a good reason to slow down.
Also, good flop raise against SB's all-in. Gave you a chance to win it right there.
Did you have any reads?
Was the...

Re: Who makes this laydown?
I call the cap and try to see the showdown as cheap as possible, but it sure looks like you are beat. If another player wakes up and bets/raises the turn or river, fold.
I don't lay this down,...

I think I'd believe that he had at least top pair, but I've been wrong enough times that I call this down every time.
Seem standard.

I'd do the same thing. People at that level will play any Ace or King a lot of the time.
Wait for a better spot. Good fold.

Re: Discrepancy in Caro\'s Pro Poker Tells?
Exactly, this is the reason that I question the utility of Caro now.
People who have read his work will reverse tells, and those that haven't won't. There is no guarantee that you can trust a...

Re: Discrepancy in Caro\'s Pro Poker Tells?

Re: TPGK -- good slowdown?
Looks good to me. I'd slow down here as well. I think the river call is a crying call (one I would definately make), as he bet into you on the turn. Trip 9's or two pair, I would guess. Or maybe he...
