Re: Was I a lucky fish here?

[ QUOTE ]
I dunno about that, if you have 2 suited cards, and 3 show up on the board, there's less than 35% chance that a random hand out of 9 will also have 2 of the same suit. 35% max

Re: How to play with 2 cards to come?

Flop calls for a fold. You should be calculating the odds for only 1 card, not 2. So odds of you hitting your gutshot are not 5:1 but more like 10.5:1. This is an easy fold.

Re: skill varies site to site

Nothing too interesting, but when I first started playing on Party Poker I thought the lunatics there made the game impossible to beat at low limits. I think I was down $400 over what I initially...

Re: Thank you SS!

This is encouraging to hear. I was wondering yesterday whether or not these forums will give me the education I need to become a consistently winning player. I should really read up on those 2+2...

Re: skill varies site to site

Yea, don't quote me on the 20k hands needed, it may be a lot more. But you definitely do not have nearly enough hands to determine anything for certain about the different poker sites. But your...

Re: Capping the Flop

[ QUOTE ]
I would guess MP1 flopped a straight (maybe a smaller set), and MP2 turned a flush (as his cold calls indicate)

[/ QUOTE ] This is the same read I have on MP1 & MP2 by the time the...

Re: When do I fold?

Other than considering a raise or fold on the turn, I probably would have played this hand similarly.

Re: Was I a lucky fish here?

I truly believe that with the BB leading the betting each round, he more than likely would have bet on the river if you checked to him trying to bluff you out, in which you could have...

Re: Was I a lucky fish here?

That's interesting, I've never considered raising from the SB w/ a hand like A9o. I'm gonna have to try it! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: AQo hand for review

Preflop: I raise this AQo to eliminate as many ppl as possible. This hand doesn't fare well in multi-handed situations.

Flop: To complete the action you're getting 6.5:1 for your money. And...

Re: Was I a lucky fish here?

[ QUOTE ]
You should only think about folding if you have Axo, Kxo and limped in the SB for some reason

[/ QUOTE ] So you wouldn't normally call w/ AXo, KXo from the SB w/ no raiser before you?

Re: Flopped bottom set in a suited flop. Was I too agressive?

Assuming the UTG is reasonable. UTG's bet on the turn would have signaled a warning in my mind. I'd have put him on a possible flush. He cold-called 2 bets on the flop, and the 6...

Re: Party 2/4 hand

I wouldn't consider UTG+2 to be LAG, considering that he only called preflop. I'd put him on KJs, JTs, T9s, etc. I think you played this fine. So, didja win? /images/graemlins/smile.gif
