Re: Seeing through the oppositions eyes.

Like everyone else said, raise.

This looks like either a K or a middle pair. It's also possible that this is a flush. People raise all kinds of crap on the river. If you're beat, fine, but I'd...

Re: Pot Odds/Effective Odds/Probability Question

OK, I'll take a shot.

To calculate the effective pot odds you are getting, you need to add up all the bets you will likely need to call to make your draw. On the flop, if you plan on seeing the...

Re: Good Books?

CNoyes,
What the others have said makes sense. What is important is reading and then playing and then reading some more, and on and on.

SSHE is a great book. No doubt about it. What it may not...

Blind Defense Axs

5/10 Hold'em

Table is rather loose, with a mix of passive and aggressive players. It's folded around to the SB who raises. I've seen the SB play Axo in mp a couple of times, and I've seen him...

Re: A vision in the kitchen, and 2 tourney wins saved my ass.

I want to thank all of you for making me remember just how much I love Pittsburgh (though it's not quite as cheap as my old city, Erie).

Re: All right, let\'s get this pot committed thing straight

Well, I'm certainly no expert either. I'm not even sure that my response is directly on point. But here goes.

I generally agree with smoore. The idea of being pot committed, in my view, is that...

Re: another riddle

OK, I got 8 the non-spade Aces, Quees and the non-spade sevens. Am I missing something?

More games online

Just thought I'd say that I wish internet poker rooms would spread more kinds of games. I know that Hold'em is THE game, and that is the one I mostly play as well. However, I have tried to learn...

Re: Is this book worth getting? Any reviews?

I picked up the book a couple of weeks ago at B&N.
The book is aimed at beginers and people with little no limit experience. That said, it was a pretty good book. If nothing else, it made me think...

AC Trip, Taj Mon N/L Report

Just came back from AC. I played in the Monday night 50+15 N/L tourney at the Taj. This was a great tourney. My only gripe was that there were very few breaks. Anyway, there was 127 people in the...

Re: AC trip, Taj Mon N/L

Thanks for the input and welcome MG!
The Taj website says they start with T500 and the blinds start at 5-10 with 20 min levels. This is compared with the Borg website that says the Mon torney starts...
