Re: Will Tiger Fire Stevie?
I agree, HDPM, the putt on #2 was telling. Not so much that he didn't make it, but that it was such a poor effort. This from the best putter in the world.
I was impressed with Maggert's effort...

Re: LEFTY WINS MASTERS!!!
Mike is a very deserving champion. He has always shown class in every circumstance.
I played with Mike when he earned his tour card, the final round of 97 tour school.
He made it from 45 ft. on 14,...

Re: HDPM -- Augusta National
Tiger is a great golfer. No one disputes it. But remember, the odds are that someone else will win the Masters. I sure hope he's not leading by six going into the back nine. I want some drama!

Re: Who\'s your picks at Augusta?
Thanks for the line, Clarkmeister. Interesting stuff. Tiger being such an odds on favorite makes the line on many others seem good. No line on Couples and Haas? I like both of them over some of the...

Who\'s your picks at Augusta?
O.K. You can't pick Tiger.
Now, what order would you put Davis/Ernie/Phil?
Who would you pick between Sergio/Duval?
And where do Toms, Weir, Singh, and Harrington fit in?
What would be a fair...

Re: Bob Jones On What Constitutes A Grand Slam
Andy North was taking a stretch of time and great golfers that was about twenty-five years or better. Also, Arnie won most of his before Jack won. Give Tiger twenty-five years, then the comparison...

Re: Speaking of caddies. . .
Why would he announce it? I don't know.
But possibly Bruce announced it, and Tom only confirmed.
Another question:
Didn't Bruce caddy for Greg Norman several years?
Didn't Greg just...

Re: Preferences
If the US Open would pick more courses like Pebble and Pinehurst, and set up the courses where recovery shots and chip shots are part of the test, I would rate it higher. But the setup they are so...

Bill Murphy-"What a bunch of paycheck cashing clowns on Tour".
What in the world are you smoking? The players on the PGA Tour are the most "professional" pros of all of sports. Clowns? Hardly. ...

Re: New Annika news
Just an update on 13 year old Michele Wie. Last week tied for fourth in the men's Hawaii State Am.
She is planning to play in 6 LPGA events this year, and 1 (men's)Canadian Tour event.

Re: tiger woods..he the man....
My 2 cents. The best at every era would always be competitive. They are winners. But the number of people capable of winning increases every year.
Also, Furyk could only be considered "mediocre"...

Re: Book Review: Killer Poker
I very much enjoyed John's book, Inside the Poker Mind.
I also enjoyed Mason's Essays vol.1 & 2. Haven't ordered 3, yet.
And, I also hated Poker Farce and Poker Truth. Terrible.
I'm currently...

Re: Golf Match Play Championship Bracket
Weir can't be a darkhorse pick, with 2 wins under his belt this year!
Ernie has a great match play record, (as does Tiger) so I'm picking Phil!
P.S. They all have hot wives/girlfriends.

Re: Annika -430 to miss cut at the Colonial
The cut for a normal tour event is 70 and ties. The Colonial is an Inv. and its field is usually limited. The size of the field won't be any bigger, but perhaps stronger.
My best guess is that...

A couple of weeks ago, Laura Baugh played in a North Fla. PGA event, a "very" mini-tour. She did very well, much better than I would have thought. I think she finished around 10th, shooting...
