Re: How to play KK pre-flop?

[ QUOTE ]
Seems like I can win huge pots on lucky draws with crap cards, but every time I get a great starting hand I get busted out of the tournament. /images/graemlins/confused.gif Happened to me...

Re: Today\'s SnG

[ QUOTE ]

My breakthrough hand:

At 100/200/25, I have KJo in the bb, and 3200 chips. Stoneii limps from the cutoff, and I read it as a weak hand. However, I am not ready to risk a lot on this...

Re: Positive EV vs. survival in Tourneys

Well, in your case of having AA count my vote as an adamant yes (call). If by some bizarre set of circumstances you are a few spots from the money in a large multi-table tournament, and would bust...

Re: Positive EV vs. survival in Tourneys

In a tournament I don't believe you should put all your chips at risk on any draw. In my opinion, draws are only profitable in a tournament (long term) when you see them for better than the correct...

Re: Too Tight?

[ QUOTE ]
OK, if the blinds were 200/400, you'd be getting close to 3-1 on the call and *if* one of them already has a made straight, you're only a 2-1 dog to improve. On the surface, the pot odds...

Re: Bankroll question

I would certainly leave it in your online account and allow the bankroll to build. If you are fortunate enough to start with 50 bucks and build a reasonable bankroll for $1/2 limit HE (in my book...

Re: Cap with AQs

I don't like the flop and turn bets. Betting with nothing is just not my style in a hand which has been raised/re-raised. I think you just got lucky.

Is betting like that (with basically...

Re: AA beating flopped Q set

Thanks for the correction, guys. I have been playing online for about 4 months. Can win $600 one week and lose $200 the next. It was on Party. Also, is it possible to be a consistant...

Re: Did I play pocket Q\'s correctly

Perhaps I'm a jacka**, but when you flop such a strong hand UTG with a few callers behind, would it be best to play for a check raise to see how strong your opponents are and beef up the...

Re: Playing the Nut Flush Draw, Party NL $25

[ QUOTE ]
The way I see it, you need to draw either an Ace, Queen, or of course the other 2 hearts to win this hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

EDIT: I should have typed "one heart" of course.

Re: Online NL KK - I\'m confused, so I call?

Perhaps my perceptions of this situation are on the blunt side, but if it were me, I'd have gone all-in after the turn. If I lose to a set or pocket aces, oh well. It happens.

Many a time I'd...

I'm the same name everywhere including non-poker sites, e mail addresses, AOL, etc. Only difference is Party, where I'm Stonemonk, due to a fit of incognito.

Re: Small pocket pairs in late position

This is my first post here.

My 2 cents on small/medium pairs is I believe limping and hoping to flop a set is the only way to play them profitably in the long run (especially in NLHE, which is...
