Re: 5\'s vs 10\'s

It's not a terrible idea to play the 5's, although you might want to play them on a site that offers .50 rake instead. There is a noticable difference in play between the 5's and the 10's, but the...

Re: What are standard streaks for not getting 1st due to variance?

I think you should be analyzing these situations less and analyzing your heads up play more. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Seriously though, I've had similar streaks where my ITM% stays constant but...

Re: SNG Tracker

Did you download the latest patches from pokertracker? For a couple of days my tournament summaries weren't importing correctly in pokertracker, and so they didnt export either.

Re: From Josh Arieh\'s website

Josh definately called the all in bet, but neither of them really played the hand that poorly after the flop.

Re: A good time to play ?

Yea, its pretty much the same for SNGs.

Re: I guess this counts as a PVS. Good or bad move?

It is probably not necessary, but I like it, especially if the two limpers have been limping a lot. Your stack is big enough that you dont really need to try something like this, but that also...

Re: I can\'t think of a line this hand that I\'m happy with

You're in good shape with 2200 in chips, and you will be out of position if you see a flop, so I dont see any need to get involved with this hand. This is also dependent on your read of the raiser. ...

Re: reining myself in...

I agree that you definately should raise preflop, but I think you should bet more than 300. You dont really want to be out of position with JJ and two callers, so a bigger raise would have likely...

Re: General AK play

With only one or two callers (and assuming I was the initial raiser), I will almost always fire out if I miss the flop. Especially against one other player, you likely still have the best hand. ...

Re: Tell me I did the right thing

This is an obvious preflop raise, and after the flop it is still worth a bet. You are scared of two obvious hands, the flush and the straight, which probably would have folded before the flop to a...

Re: SnG strategy when its level 4/5 and there are 7/8 people left

I would guess that you are playing the 11s, and this situation comes up relatively rarely at this level. The problem is that the opponents you are playing against have very loose calling standards...

When not to start up 4 new SNGs. . .

When there is a severe thunderstorm warning for your county and golfball sized hail coming down. The cable modem was only down for about 20 minutes and I was able to place in one of them, but it was...

Re: Multitabling - When to, when to stop, when\'s it time to add anothe

[ QUOTE ]
Not really. 500 still isn't at all statistically significant.

[/ QUOTE ]

While it may be possible to have a -16%ROI over your first 500 tournaments and still be a winning player,...

Re: Multitabling - When to, when to stop, when\'s it time to add anothe

If youve played 500, you should have a very good idea of how you are playing. With a -16% ROI, you can be sure that you have some serious holes to plug, especially at the low buy ins. Not only...

Re: EPT monte carlo worth watching

I watched that a couple days ago, those two hands were great, especially the stare downs after being owned both times. Pretty good coverage overall.

Re: Poker Tracker...do I need it?

Using pokertracker with playerview helps a lot towards the end of tournaments, as you have 40 or 50 hands recorded from each player, and you can tell roughly how tight they are. If you have a hand...

Re: Bluffing opportunity?

I would say it all depends on whether you think your opponent would only bet with a pair, or whether he would semi-bluff at the pot with a big flush draw.

As for raising on flop, youre going to...

Re: I know its late but come on

My advice is to stop playing play money tournaments. But seriously, was that at a 5+1?
