Just the notion that you can buy a plastic football full of the equivalent of 5 bottled beers for $6 is fine and dandy with me.

Re: 11 Handed Hold\'em
Thanks for the advice, Brom. Unfortunately, I have no say in the matter. I will be in the area with my family, so that is where I will be playing. At least it sounds like a really well run room....

Re: 11 Handed Hold\'em
Thanks for the responses.
TKO, I will be heading to Blue Heron Casino in Port Perry on Mon. I have never played there before, and limit is not my game. I have only donked around in a few...

11 Handed Hold\'em
I will be heading to a local casino (well it’s 1hr away!) this weekend, and have found out that their poker tables seat 11. I will be playing limit hold’em, because I don’t think that they spread...

Re: Bubble play on PS 11
I think that you have to fold here, especially to a raise this big. A3 is not even close to being a strong hand and you don’t’ have any FE here. There is no way he is folding any hand getting ~4:1.

Re: Turnplay in 22
Why such a small re-raise pre-flop? I bump it to 200 and push the flop if there are unders.
Because of your pre-flop play, you are in a terrible situation. I think you are behind, but the pot is...

Re: 20+2 Am I an idiot or a genius?
I check the turn, and call a half to pot-sized bet on the river if it is not a spade. It’s early, and controlling the size of the pot on this tricky board is critical. There are too many holdings...

Re: Berate my play
Call the flop and lead the turn for about 900. Fold if raised, check the river if called.
If you raise the flop, you have to go all-in. And I don’t like CR all-in on the flop because you are...

Re: AA hand 1-2 nl
I love it when people play AA like this, and then start complaining that aces never win, or that someone always “sucks out” on them.

Re: Live 1/2 NLHE - Bluff on the River
For those interested (probably not many), he folded A Q face up!
Here's the thing. It's almost impossible for me to put villain on a King. I mean, who here checks the river with the nuts in...

Re: Live 1/2 NLHE - Bluff on the River
I agree. After he called the turn bet, I was going to give up on the hand. However, when the ten came, and he checked, I thought he was weak. I also thought that my all-in would look like some...

Live 1/2 NLHE - Bluff on the River
Background: In the first 1.5 hrs of play, I had built up a nice stack through solid TAG play. I had only shown down winners, and my bets and raises were getting respect. About 2hrs in, I lost a...

Re: Hand review
I don't think it hurts your image at all. It simply looks like good poker; attempted blind steal with the odds to call the all-in.

Re: AA runs into scary flop
This is true, but I still don’t like giving villain the card and being OOP. There are just too many cards that can come on the turn that improves villain’s hand. Also, the min. raise could be a...
