Re: so who else would lay down that last hand? bad call....

Yeah I forgot about the straight draw when I initially reacted to this hand... that makes it somewhat more stomachable.

Re: so who else would lay down that last hand? bad call....

Maybe Williams thought that Raymer was on the straight draw w/ the A and decided to bluff at it on the end after not hitting. Maybe... /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: so who else would lay down that last hand? bad call....

Re: so who else would lay down that last hand? bad call....

If you think he flopped the straight why would you call the flop raise? The call on the turn seems better than the flop call.

I felt the same way immediately... check the other threads. Nobody else has commented though. Oh well I'm sure it's different when you're there.

Hand #113, Williams's button. Williams made it $300,000, and Raymer called. The flop came 5s 4d 2d. Raymer checked, Williams bet $500,000,...

Re: Balls

Would he really have to show the hand to get that point across? I think not showing gives the same message that someone better be holding the goods, and it keeps them guessing...

Re: Balls

I can't really think of a good reason to show in that situation. He must be trying to set something up for when Murphy tries that again, but it seems like it would be better to leave him guessing. ...

It's true, but he bluffed Murphy out of a reraised pot pre-flop and just knocked out Scharf, so he's gotten some of it back. (Pokerpages)
