Re: Mitch Hedberg

The uncensored comedy station on Sirius (Raw Dog 147) is playing nothing but Hedberg this morning as a tribute.

Seems it's true. (Or a very elaborate early April Fool's joke)

Re: First pokerchips.com art proof

I love the "Incarnations of Immortality" series of books. (I actually named my first son after the main character in the first book)

Which chips are going to be which color? I don't know if you...

Thanks!

I had a great time. Thanks for letting me LAG it up tonight. I never thought it would feel so good to open-raise J4o.

Thanks for making a lurker feel welcome and putting up with all the raising.

Re: Anybody mind if a lurker joins in?(nm)

Yeah, he probably knew I had J4o last time I open-raised and he 3-bet

Set of 3\'s in BB

I'm most concerned with PF and the flop. I've got no qualms about calling the first raise, but should I have called 2 more SB when it came back? I did simply because it was capped and I knew I...

Blind defense with ATo

Obviously, I wouldn't normally play ATo this aggresively, but I figured there was a very good chance I had the best hand here. Did I play this ok?

Re: Where to play deepstack NL online?

Golden Palace is a VC skin that Americans can sign-up with. The 200BB games only go up to .25/.50 blinds, however. Everything above is 100BB.

Re: In raised pot w/ small suited connectors

The way I saw it at the time (about 2:30 AM my time, I think; so that could change my thinking) was I would get to see how button reacted to the pre-flop raiser's bets each round if I checked to him....

Re: UACat97, how do you rate my play? :D

I'm probably not much of a judge, as you can probably tell from my play. I really liked some of the moves you made earlier in the session to build your stack up (Before you tilted it off with KJ...

In raised pot w/ small suited connectors

The pre-flop call is somewhat marginal, but I figured a)I'm getting a discount on my call, b)I've got excellent relative position on PFR and c)I'm closing the action PF. Should I have raised as much...

Thanks!

Thanks for your responses. I like Sterno's line of reasoning for putting in a large raise on the end to represent trying to buy the pot with all the weak betting going on.

One thing was certain,...

Re: Please evaluate my PF call

Yeah, I was pretty upset about the river raise, too, after I did it. I guess I should've figured one of them had a decent enough ace to call a bigger raise on the end. I guess I just wanted to make...

Re: Please evaluate my PF call

I was planning on playing this similar to a small pair, flop big or get out. I figured with anything less than an two pair or OESD, I would fold, especially if he wouldn't give me odds to chase.

Re: Please evaluate my PF call

Thanks! PF I was just figuring I was only calling .25 which was only 1/64 of UTG+1's stack. I figured that was a pretty good odds, if I could get him all in. I wanted to raise more on the end, but...

Please evaluate my PF call

This hand caused quite the stir when I showed it down. I felt I was justified in calling the min-raise as I was getting pretty good implied odds if I hit a big hand. Plus, people who min-raise PF...

Did I make it too easy tfor villian to get away?

I figured a pot size re-raise on the turn was going to be almost my whole stack, so I just pushed it in. Before folding, villian guessed I hit a set and told me he had two pair. Should I have...

Too aggressive on the flop?

Should I be too worried about giving up a free card on this flop? If he doesn't have a big diamond, he probably won't call the flop bet anyway. Should I check to try to let him bluff at it? I know...

Re: best place to place deep-stack NLHE?

Re: best place to place deep-stack NLHE?

Golden Palace Poker (or Victor Chandler for Euros) has 200x max buy-in games up to .25/.50 blinds. Anything larger is 100x max. Good luck.
