Re: Am I really going to let this go?
I agree with the flush, but in my opinion its the sum of everything that makes me fairly certain hero is beaten.
With the flop comming like it does and UTG betting into him on the turn, this is...

Re: Am I really going to let this go?
I dont like the turn.
The only hands I can put him on without a read is a flush or a straight (or the unlikely higher set). I would just call the turn. You need to fill up to win the hand at this...

Re: Playing against the crazy fish
Depends on a lot of things.
Does he call you with nothing on the river?
Will he bet with nothing if he is checked to?
Will he bet with a weak hand if checked to?
You probably have the best...

Re: SSH page 135 question
To be blunt, your post makes no sense.
A2s > K2s for obvious reasons like high card value and straight options.
*edit, post not pots*

Re: JJ
A case could be made for raising the turn when you pick up your open ended straight draw. By doing that and then checking behind on the river if you dont get it, you will win one more bet when your...

Re: Moving up to 1/2
When you have position its better to take advantage of it and raise. It has numerous advantages such as:
- It makes it hard for your opponent to put you on a pair or overcards since you play them...

Re: Got scared with cowboys.
Against an opponent I respect I will play it like you did. Against random people I havent seen before I bet out on the turn.

Re: AA Hand with suited flop
Thats a very scary time to checkraise. You only have one opponent acting behind you and a board where you dont want to give a free card.
And dont fold the turn, I dont like the SB checkraising...

Re: I love party poker
I hate to say it but I had a hand that looked a lot like this yesterday. Table was very agressive and I got a rare free play from the BB with 53o, 3 people in before me.
Flop comes J33 and I check...

Re: Flopping overcards with AQ
You played this well on all streets.
The raise on the river is automatic for me, you just checked the turn and he could very well be betting with just a king or Ax of diamond since your raise and...

Re: TT hand
[ QUOTE ]
Well, that's some turn bet by UTG+2. I'd probably raise again, but I think overcalling is probably fine. I expect you to win this against A7o pretty damn often.

TT hand
My thinking on the turn is that if I raise again I will be left with only hands that beats me, anything else will fold. By just calling (and calling the river) I give him a chance to bluff or think...

Is it supposed to be able to read the histories comming directly from the party poker client? IE if I click the top right link at the table screen and get a small...

Re: Hands against a maniac.
Always a bit annoying when they miracously pull some magic out of their ass to get even, even worse when then just leave at that point. But there is always tomorrow.

Re: weak tight turns?
[ QUOTE ]
What do you mean "smooth call?"
[/ QUOTE ]
a "smooth call" is when you call thinking you have the best hand. Usually to put a raise in later or because you want overcallers (people...

Re: Interesting AK hand
I'd have to go with 77, possibly some other small pocket pair.
Pretty hard to put someone on a hand with that play though /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: weak tight turns?
3-bet hand #1 on the flop and then lead the rest of the way. If he caps then bet into him on the turn.
In hand #2 you should either cap the flop or raise the turn.
You give your opponents too...

How often do you *really* play your A game?
After some serious tiltage last night for the first time in 3 months, I had to sit back and think about my play a bit.
When all is said and done I think about 20% of my losses came from tilt, the...
