Re: Potowatami 10/20...pot manipulation with AK
I don't get the title of your post. How are you manipulating the pot? The pot is too big to manipulate. The way it played out, the CO was still getting 6:1 on the turn for a 4:1 shot. If you...

Re: Facing yet another turn checkraise
3-bet or fold, IMO. It depends on his awareness of you at the table. If he knows what he's going and pays attention, he knows you don't have a Jack because you didn't raise the flop. If he is this...

Re: Ok, let\'s start a discussion....
Scenario 1: (not sure about this at all, just a guess)
A. He's likely to have any Ace high.
B. Not sure at all.
Scenario 2:
A: I'd say the most single likely hand is AJs, maybe AQs.
B: SB...

Re: tell us about. was it a tourney?
I live in Fresno Josh and don't know Saul. There's only 3 poker rooms within 30 miles, so I usually know all the players, or can at least recognize a face. Anyway, good job. Looks like he got...

Re: Kings too aggressive or just right?
I'd throw in another raise on the river. What hand could he possibly raise with on the flop and turn that gives him a flush? The only possiblity is 82 /images/graemlins/heart.gif, and if he has...

Re: 10/20 Hand : K4o in the BB
[ QUOTE ]
I think I'd rather just go ahead and bet the river here. If for no other reason than to not have to show my hand.

I wouldn't mind showing my hand. First, it was the BB...

Re: 10/20 Hand : K4o in the BB
I bet the river and expect to be shown A10. You are not inducing a bluff, and there are many more hands that you beat that he will call you with but not bet when checked to.

On the turn, I thought for a few seconds and 3-bet. Button folded, others called. There were a two reasons I 3-bet. First, since the player will play most two suited, I thought there was a chance my...

Re: (20/40) - 77 in the big blind
I think this is an easy 3-bet. He didn't raise the turn, so that rules out the very slim possibility of quads. There is no other real hand that I can put him on that beats you.

raise preflop.
AND you need to bet, there's a flush draw out there and that makes your c-r even worse. even without it there was a straight draw or four.

Flopped trips, checkraised on the turn (crosspost)

Re: Overcalling the river with the (almost) nuts
In this situation, I'd raise. The main reason is the 4-straight on board. The pot is big, so a 6 or A might call 2 cold, plus a flush might 3-bet. If it wasn't for the 4-straight, I would just...

What I did and why
First, I think the check-raise on the flop was a bad idea, I should have just bet.
So, what did I do on the turn? I thought for a few seconds and 3-bet. Button folded, others called. There...
