No real reads to speak of...I'm doing pretty well at the table.
Ultimate Bet, .25/.50 blinds.
I'm in the CO with JJ. 10 handed, UTG limps, MP3 limps,..folded to me. I bet pot. Small blind goes...

Re: 25NL - rivered second pair
I dont mind the call on the flop, and I can see calling the turn, you're not getting terrible odds and if you hit you'll get paid big time.
check/fold river.

And what's wrong with the preflop call? Not trying to be argumentative, I seriously don't know why.

Re: 2/4 - KK - tough board
Yeah that board hurts. I fold the river, given villans range theres too much that has you beat.
Also I think check/fold is in order on the turn, but I can see why some might disagree.

Bet. He's loose and could be calling with a variety of hands on the flop. I wouldn't worry about getting checkraised here, in fact I wouldn't mind getting checkraised here, since he may...

Anyone that is going to check/raise big with AK probably woulden't just complete it in the SB anyway.

Re: AA - am I a wimp?
I raise the turn...see where your at. If you just call 4th street, then you have to be pretty damn confident you're beat not to push the river.

Re: 1-2 nl game is hard to beat
In any event, just rebuy. This really wasn't such a bad beat, just a bad flop, a big pot, and relatively short stacks. I don't think you played badly, but you really don't have anything to complain...

Re: Ugh, Really bad play by me
[ QUOTE ]
I think if you are going to play this hand, you should just re-raise all-in pre-flop. Out of position, it is too tricky to play after the flop.
Whether you do play is a judgement call....

I like the initial raise, but you have to fold this to the all in. You haven't given us any reason to think BB is doing this with any two, so what exactly are you hoping he has?

Re: Flop play with 88 in position.

I'm not sure I like the preflop raise here, but at least you have position. The pot is pretty big and MP1 has shown weakness.
I would fire out a bet of 200 and if that doesn't take...

Generally yes, get those who limp with A or K -rag so that you dont run into a situation where you think you're ahead and someone has flopped 2-pair. I know its the worst to have AK cracked (happened...

Re: Please help me out - protect or gamble?
I think I push here. If he's made his flush im thinking he'll call you bet instead of raising, hoping that you're drawing dead. Calling here and then turning a spade will put you in a huge hole.

Re: Another $%@* KK post
You have to bet here. Since you raised pre-flop its very unlikely that he has a 5, so you can put him on a club draw, a weak ace, or squat. A pot sized (or just under) bet will give you a better idea...

Re: not a dead beat
I don't mind the play here. With your stack size and some short stacks still to act, its likely that they'll put you on a marginal hand trying to steal. I'm intrested to see how the hand ended.
