Re: ATs, rivered two pair
Thinking about it, I think check-raising the flop is better. What's my plan with no A on the river? Check/Call?

$100NL KK River call?
This is my first orbit at the table. The table seemed pretty tight, with most PFR not being called so far. No read on villian, as I had just sat down.
I think I should have bet a bit more on the...

I had went all in 3 hands in a row a couple of hands ago, and won every time without a call. Table has been pretty tight.

AA Backdoor flush draw
No reads, as this is the first orbit at the table.
The hand before this I picked up QQ, raised to $2.00. The player to my left calls, all else fold. Flop includes an A. I fire off about 3/4 pot...

Re: Two Pair against Tight Plater
Thanks, guys, you're absolutely right. That was a weak laydown and I'm mad I made it. I posted the hand right after it happened. When I got re-raised, I was all set to push. Then, I noticed his...

Two Pair against Tight Plater
This hand happened tonight. Villian is very very tight - and not aggressive. He has a 4 VPIP, and a 4 PFR after 85 hands. This was a pretty passive table pre-flop, and i figured I could limp and see...

JJ Hand - correct play?
Comments on all streets welcome. No reads on villian - I've seen him sit for 5 hands, and this was the first he played. I raised it up to the standard raise given the limpers. When the A hit the...

AA Hand
Villian has about a 27% VP$IP in 50 hands, with a 9% PFR. I obviously wasn't about to fold to his bet, I didn't want to min-raise, so I pushed. What is the standard play here?

Thanks for the comments. I was a bit surprised when he turned over Q 10 for the straight. He proceeded to lose all of his (my) money over the next 10 hands. Oh well.

Re: Learn from my mistakes.
I had two situations in the same day that were similar... Had a set of 6's get busted by a set of A's, and a set of 3's get busted by a set of A's. Oh well, what are you gonna do??

Of course, I was up against AA - otherwise I wouldn't have posted this.
