you can also have more chips than those same people by winning a single pot of medium size, I think that minor advantage is far outwayed by everyone else being comfortable with the way the table...

Iv'e been an alternate at smaller B&M tournaments I can think of no reason why being an alternate could possibly be a real advantage.

Fewer starting chips, missing out on hands in level 1,...

As for a 9 5 2 rainbow flop, My plan was to bet out $300 and fold to a push. had been working pretty well before with the very loose PF play at the table

I agree as to the bet size in a 5-10 game, bu this game was playing much bigger, virtually every hand hand 3+ players in it for $100+ each. the blinds were just kind of there.

I hate putting all 1400 at risk against a possibly made hand. I think 600 back at 200 with only 300 in the pot has almost the exact same folding equity, and a quick reraise leaves me enough to try...

He could bet out that much with a ton of hands that you have beat or plenty of outs on. A7, A8, A9, AT, KT QJ, K9 or K8 even. even if he has say TPTK with AJ not insurmountable. That is why I like...
