Re: New to Omaha
Well, I guess that I was wrongly told I didn't win.
It was a live game at guy's house - and since I dunno a damn thing about this game, I asked twice to explain and was told "you'll get it after...

New to Omaha
Hey all - I'd consider myself an advanced hold'em player, but am just starting to learn Omaha and Omaha/8. I'm learning its better to have a high/low combo hand when playing O8, but I have a question...

Odds of set over set
I was playing 6 handed hold'em on fulltilt poker where i was dealt 77 on the button. There were 3 people in the pot and the flop comes down K-7-10. I'm loving this, but when the action gets to me,...

$5-$10 NL SB with AKo
Playing @ Fulltilt in SB 6 handed.
One call in MP to the Button who raises pot ($45). I reraise to $125 and get called in both spots (pot holds $385). Little history - MP calls with a lot of hands,...

Re: 2/4 NL on party
Again from a limit point of view that's fine - worry about pot odds to catch. You're playing NLHE though, and NL is more about reading hands and putting pressure on players than it is knowing pot...

Re: Stars 5/10 NL - 48s, too agressive?
WOW! what were you thinking? you ONLY get called when beat and you're risking your whole stack on it...this is definitely a play that you can only make if you're used to playing with poor players who...

Re: 2/4 NL on party
Its funny that you are upset by his "small betting ways" yet he suckered you into thinking you were ever drawing to a winning hand.
IMO if you're going to play NLHE at any level, you can't be a...

Re: Party 15, Weird TT multiway with fish
I would think about a CR on the turn. The CU called 3-bets preflop but then 3 bets a small coordinated board. Without knowing anthing about the player, I put him on JJ, 88 or perhaps a big flush draw...

Odds of a Perfect Board
OK, I'm not the best at this stuff but I want to know exactly how to produce this result.
Playing a tournament and the following hand comes up.
2 players see the following board - k-8-5-8-5...

Re: Top 2 pair re raised?!?!?!
i dunno that many people play the same way as me, but i raise at least to $30 preflop if i have position and there's 4 limpers ahead of me in a $3-$6 game. if they're loose, fine, they call, but you...

Re: AKs on the button.
If you have a calling station and a guy already on tilt (or presumable), I bet this flop fully expecting a call from both at the very least, and quite possibly a raise from MP, where u can smooth...

Re: What are the odds?
You'll get more response if you post this in the Probability section. Give me some more info on the hands and I can help you out though.

Re: Howd I do?
Preflop was also capped so unless the button is a maniac, he doesn't have any piece of that board (save the slight possibilty of 99 or 88 in which case the poster is behind anyway). I'm not worried...

Re: Howd I do?
Two questions I'd like to know: Is the button player capable of making these same plays with 99 or 88? Is this a shorthanded game?
The nature of the Button tells me he has a very big hand,...

Runner Runner to make straight
I just want to make sure my math is correct here.
I have Q-10 vs Q-7 with a flop of Q-3-4
the turn is a 5, river is a 6.
I come up with a probability of the turn/river combination as follows:...

Re: Folding QQ
Firts off this IS pot limit.
The preflop bring in raise is $30 (house rule to give the UTG player some comfort of a raise). The $35 bet being called by 3 players PLUS the $7 in the pot from the...

Re: Fire Away?
Did you reraise on top $250?? With his rereaise to $120 there's $380 in the pot, I like the $250 reraise wanting a call.
I'd fire all-in on the turn given the nature of the SB player. He's...

Re: Folding QQ
Man, I'd really like to dispell the "rumor" that if you make a fold to a maniac with a small edge that you must be some kind of 1st time poker player without any balls to make a call/raise.
I've...

I guess I should say that I matched the bigstack when I bought in about an hour before at $500. I was up $100 at that point and the reraiser in this instance was all in.
SO...I did have him...

Folding QQ
Playing a $2-$5 PL game that is loose as a $0.10-$0.25 game. The usual buy-in is anywhere from $500-$1000 and the pots will get high quickly as the usual raise is the pot regardless of hand. most of...
