Re: KQo with maniac on board

I think the river fold is fine, as there is no way the SB doesn't have a flush.

Re: 88 - I cold call

Given the players you describe, nice hand.

Re: 15/30 JJ

My comments were directed solely at the river bet.

Edited to add: Suppose the 2p2er did bet 99/88 on flop and turn, I really doubt he is calling a turn raise with those hands.

Re: 15/30 JJ

[ QUOTE ]
What if he thinks I'm getting crazy with AK and calls with 88/99?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you really ever gonna go crazy like this with AK when you have a protected pot and a bad player...

Re: 15/30 JJ

I really don't like your river bet. UTG+1 appears to have you beat and is not going to lay it down as the pot is so big.

Re: 15/30 questions

I really disagree with most of what you said. I think when going up in limits it is VERY important to take it in stages. Moving up from 2/4 to 15/30 with no stops in between just because you are...

Re: 15/30 KK

In this position I usually bet the turn and then call down from there.

Peel?

I have AJo in a 15/30 game at party. I am the CO. It is folded to the hijack who opens for a raise, I 3-bet and the button cold caps. Both blinds fold and there is the 3 of us to the flop.

FLOP...

Re: AJo against a tag stealer

That was why I wanted to donk the flop. Hopefully he raises and knocks out the SB. Then my next objective would be to get showdown.

Then again I may be missing something. What are you trying to...

Re: 15/30 AA...is it ok to call down now?

I think it's fine to call down.

Re: AJo against a tag stealer

I think 3-betting PF really helps you out here. Given how you played it I may have donk bet the flop instead of the turn and gone from there.

Re: 15/30 KK value bet the river?

I really doubt from his play that he has an 8 and will call you with a lot of hands that you beat. I'd bet it.

Re: 10/20 KK

I just call down his 3-bet. It seems to me as though you over played your hand a little unless you know this opponent is VERY aggressive.

I folded and cold caller calls. River comes an A and the action goes bet, call. BB shows AJo and caller shows 48s. So I was behine with 5 outs, but I wasn't behind who we all thought I was behind....

Re: JTo in the CO.

I think you are beat here more often than not, but there is a chance that he was jamming with the As, so I think a river call is good.

Re: AJo 15/30 hand

I don't know I think I let this go on the flop. Even lag tards and idiots get hands sometimes. Not to mention it could come back capped to you and then you are really hatin it.

Re: Blind steal, change of pace.

Yea I hate it when that happens. But if someone is willing to 3-bet you with less than bottom pair then they deserve the pot I figure. You just have to make sure sometimes you take this line with...

Re: Blind steal, change of pace.

If you are going to call a decent river, I like a raise on the turn with a free showdown. This way you pay the same, are charging him when you are ahead and who knows maybe he'll fold a 10.

Re: QTs in the BB. Ugly River.

While I don't think u are good here very often, it is not impossible for MP to have KQ or AQ. I think it's worth a call.

Puke

I have KK UTG of a 15/30 game at party. I open for a raise, there is a cold caller, and the BB comes along. Cold caller seems loose and BB seems decent.

FLOP J,8,4 (two daimonds)

Check, I...

Re: 10/20 AA

Interesting line. Seems as though once he doesn't three bet the turn you are likely ahead. I think I like it quite a bit.

Re: Here\'s a Hand

Yea that changes things, but it still seems as though a player would likely not bet Ad,6o on the river or any other pair+flush draw combo that we beat. The way this hand played out it just really...
