Re: Titan and Noble cashout policy (Playtech?)

Titan is MUCH easier than Noble to clear its bonuses if you play NL. One gets 8 stars for every raked hand, regardless of the rake. So in most cases, that means simply having a flop.

Re: Nasty NL book rumors

Thanks GW, I'll take a look at these. I actually have Harrington's books currently being shipped, so I will start with these. Some of the reviews of Cloutier's books consider him too tight, but I...

Re: Nasty NL book rumors

OK, now that we know the nature of the book and an ETA, for those of us who have been playing limit poker almost exclusively and want to get into PL and NL, are there any other books we could get our...

Re: A funny thing happened on the way to the showdown

What added to the amusement was that the player didn't even seem to know why he got so much money back when I obviously had the Ace. The straight flush had to be pointed out to him.

Anyway, I...

A funny thing happened on the way to the showdown

Posted solely for amusement <grin>.

(BTW, Bisonbison, when I copied this hand to the converter directly from the Poker Room hand summary, the program just spun its wheels, so I used your format...

Re: Scary flop and turn

Thanks, Sent. I was certainly planning to do this, but the raise by the unknown MP1 chickened me out. In retrospect, I think you are correct in that I should have charged the draws as much as...

Re: First 10,000 hands on Poker Tracker - Analysis please!

Magic--

I think your stats are fine for the upper micros. Any tighter and you will be missing out on some really good pots. I think even if you were in the mid 20s for VP$IP you should be about...

Nut flush with a lemon twist

Whadya think about this one? My limited stats showed both MP2 and MP3 as calling with almost anything (vpip=64% and vpip=49%, respectively).
Knowing this, would anyone have 3B MP3's PFR?
Also,...

Re: AA

Last night I had AA twice, and I did not get a chance to bet them either slow or aggresive. Both times I was BB and everyone folded to me. Aaaarrrrggggghhhhh!

Re: A Poker Tracker Stat Evaluation (Guide?)

Great post. I have been using PT for only a couple of weeks, and obviously do not have a statistically significant database yet, BUT seeing the averages you have posted gives me a much better idea...

Re: Pokertracker\'s top 10 assets?

I agree with you that the ability to replay hands has been excellent for analysing both my losing hands and my winners (and kicking myself that I could so often be so stupid in the heat of battle). ...

Re: Streak of cracked KK or AA?

So nice to have company in my misery. I did not win a single KK, AKs or AKo last night. Rags on the flops. Bet and raised all the way, and each time lost on the river to a flush.

Re: Poll: Funniest online trash talk?

My 71st birthday is next month, so my wife says to me yesterday. "You're going to be dealt an A7s next month. You are definitely in late position, so don't you go folding too early now!"

Re: Dual monitor question?

In win2k, you can set it up several ways. I use the 2 monitors simply to increase my screen space so I can see several windows at the same time. For example, I am now typing on 2+2 and watching the...

Re: Dual monitor question?

I've used dual monitors (19 inch and 17 inch) with my win2k OS for the past 4 years. No problem at all, except as already posted, the downsizing of the image to fit the 17" screen.
