The tabletop was covered in a faux suede. I didnt pick the material. My fiances brother in law did. He was actually looking for a dark blue double velvet but, there wasnt any in any of the stores...

Materials were about $400, $425, something like that. Dont remember exactly. Took me about 18-20 hours or so. I just worked on it here and there thoughout a week and a half after work.

I dont think the EL wire stands out very well in the daytime sunlight. The legs are attached to the tabletop with 8 hex bolts and T-nuts. So, yes it can be taken apart in 3 sections for transport....

The best you can get for a poker table, and is not cheap by any means, is called HIGH DENSITY CLOSED CELL FOAM. This stuff will never crush, and always maintains its shape. You'll need to get a 1/4"...
