Party 3/6, preflop capper check-raises turn
Odd line here by UTG+1. He seemed pretty loose and passive (22/5/1.0) through maybe 40 hands.
I'm posting this because everything felt like he was going to checkraise but I figured I had to...

Re: Party VIP offers - November
$400 for 13,000 hands. I play mostly $10/20 full.
He said if I play more than that or at a higher level they'd probably adjust the November bonus and my December offer.

Re: confusing ak hand.. stars 30-60
I've struggled with these kinds of situations many times.
It feels like you should keep going because you have such a strong preflop hand. But I think because your hand is a draw to top pair,...

Re: Free showdown or value bet? Party 10/20
[ QUOTE ]
Since he called the turn raise I doubt he's folding on the river.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is probably why I wimped out and checked, figuring weak Ks and QQ JJ could be check-calling.

Re: Free showdown or value bet? Party 10/20
I absolutely see what you mean, and the inconsistency of my actions was the main reason for my post.
At the time of my turn raise, I did consider it a potential free showdown raise, but when he...

Re: Free showdown or value bet? Party 10/20
Yes! I understand your points here, but some of what you are saying seems to want a river value bet and some wants a free showdown. Although that might be a reaction to my confusing line of raising...

Re: Free showdown or value bet? Party 10/20
That was my thought in retrospect as well. But then I realized with QQ I'd have just called the turn and river, so it seemed weird to try to put more bets in with TT than QQ. Is QQ the same play? ...

Free showdown or value bet? Party 10/20
BB here is 14vpip/9pfr/1.5 AF but only about 40 hands.
Comments on all streets welcome, but the river is my biggest question mark.

Hand 3: 21.0832 % 20.40% 00.69% { 55+, A2s+, K4s+, Q6s+, J7s+, T7s+, 98s, A5o+, K8o+, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o }

Re: Preflop steal gone bad - now what?
Oh I guess since this isnt hand specific I'm not spoiling anything with my thoughts.
SB almost certainly has a premium hand (AA-TT, AK, maybe AQs). Since BB is unknown, I assume he most likley...

Preflop steal gone bad - now what?
I openraise from the CO, button folds. Loose/passive SB (50/6/0.6) 3-bets, new unknown in the BB caps.
What kind of hands should I be folding here in spite getting 5-1 on the call and having...

Re: Passive play theory vol.1
The point of knowing these statistics for your opponent is to help you put him on a hand range and react accordingly.
If 2 players have the same AF, the player with the higher VPIP is doing more...

If you raise the flop exactly 5% of the time, it is really irrelevant (from an aggression factor standpoint) if you see 10% of the flops or 50%. passive is passive. And if you raise the...

Re: Passive play theory vol.1
I know the villain has an AF of .4, but that is from playing over half his hands. I don't know if you can exactly correlate that to like the aggression of 25vp$ip/0.8AF but his bets aren't nearly as...

Re: A bit of a move on two hyper lags
I don't think you really want to just call his flop bet with the idiot in between who'd call 1 bet and might have a bunch of outs, especially if he'd fold JT/QT/QJ for 2 bets.
