Re: Interesting situation, check my math
I think you math is right. The comment of the other players and dealer is stupid. I presume you had sufficient pot odds even with one less out on the turn.

Well you nailed it traz. I called the turn and folded the river and the opponent showed J9 for a missed gutshot.

stealing than hit weak ace
This hand occurred in the 2/4 NL game on Stars
UTG posts $4BB+$2SB and checks. I raise to $16 with Ac7c to try and steal the larger pot. Everyone folds but the poster. Flop comes Qc 8d 8c giving...

Re: Ugh, Really bad play by me
I think if you are going to play this hand, you should just re-raise all-in pre-flop. Out of position, it is too tricky to play after the flop.
Whether you do play is a judgement call.

Here is a hypothetical situation I've been thinking about lately.
Early in a 10-player SNG. Blinds 10/15, all 10 players in.
You have 950, opponent has 950, pot is 200 (other players have...

Re: Why do you play SNG\'s?
I've been thinking about posting on this topic from a slightly different angle. One benefit of SNGs (up to the 215 level) is that the rake is smaller. For example a 20+2 table collects $30/hr in...
