Re: Bluffing
The BB has already checked to you on the flop and the 2 players behind you didn't show any aggression pre-flop (just calling). I think there would be a good chance of everyone just checking behind....

Re: AKs
Normally on this type of board, from UTG I would think he is betting the flush draw. Unless he is worried about the flush and decides to bet a set fast. I can't see 2 pair here.
Well if he had...

Re: 22 vs. Two players with AA. Big Pot.
With two raisers behind you, I think you could have bet out on the flop (represent Q's or flush draw), get raised and cold call there. Other option would be to go for the c/r and get the money in...

Re: TT Hand
On the turn with both opponents to act after you: check to see how the action goes. If MP1 bets and C/O raises (fold), if MP1 bets and C/O calls (fold-you are 23:1 here..unless you think you might...

Re: What are the odds???
It would depend on how many players are in the pot.
For example: if you hold KK, someone will have AA (24.6:1 in an 8 handed game) but (19.5:1 in a 10 handed game).

Re: Checkraising for Value: Flop or Turn?
On a ragged board (as your first example), I think I'd wait till the turn to raise. You only need half the number of callers, on the turn, to put as much money in the pot as on the flop. Your raise...

There are more than one but I can only think of this one just now: PokerTracker. Many posts here about it if you should care to do a search.

Re: FOR DAVID SKLANSKY OR MASON MALMUTH
I am not either one but....
I wouldn't try it. Have you ever lost 4 sessions in a row? I have and I usually start with 25BB. That would break me after only 4 sessions.
200BB if you really...

Re: Good laydown w/KK?
I have to same chance as the T or 7 to improve my hand but am behind to the Ax player.
I think the best chance I have to win this pot is by seeing the river card cheap. The only way I can do...

Re: Good laydown w/KK?
How about a check/call on the turn? You would get to see the river card for the same amount you paid to bet/fold.

Re: question
Isn't this a spot where you are supposed to check with outs and bet with none?
Or is the Ace overcard worth the bet?

Re: TT or 99 in BB in a raised multi-way pot
I prefer betting out to check raising. When you bet out and represent top pair then get raised by the pre=flop raiser you have a better idea of where you stand.
What do you do if you c/r and...

Don't know of any threads but don't cold-call a raise or re-raise with KQo.

Re: Best Place to Begin Playing?
If you are going to start with a bankroll of $50 do not start by playing at Party. The .50/$1 game requires a higher bankroll.
Poker Stars games in the micro limits are a good place to learn as...

Re: Move up or Multitable?
I think you should at least take a stab at $1/2.
You know you are winning ok at .50/$1 and can always drop back down if you have problems with the higher limit.
Then to get the bankroll...

Re: Moving up a level okay?
I have never played at Paradise. But at Poker Stars the progression is from .02/.04 to .05/.10 then .25/.50 before you get to .50/$1. (I believe their is another site that has a similar progression,...

Re: JTs at the button after a raise
With 2 players to act behind you on the river, I think going for the overcall is good.
I think MP3 has T9 for 2 pair. I believe if he had KJ he would have raised the flop. MP1 most likely has AQ...

Re: How many mistakes in this QQ hand?
It looks like he is holding 22, 55 or 66 which would make your hand good. The only other hand would be A3s and I am not sure he would raise a gut shot draw on the flop.
But it is Party. Don't...

And the folding or raising would depend...
