Re: Party 10/20: QQ on A river vs. Samoleus.
agreed, either is fine, checking just gives him rope, he will bet turn and river on this board with basically any pair if you check to him, a small blocking bet at the river might provoke him into...

Re: Shove now or later?
Better to get it in now, if a 9,10, J, Q or A comes, you're in a bad spot on the river, he might have hit 2 pair or a straight, and you'll be looking at $500 pot and he'll have 250 left so it'll be...

Re: 10/20 AA fold Full Ring
Depends on the 15/5 player. There are lots of TAG players at the 10/20 games who are very capable of folding KK to a 3rd raise preflop with 100x BB, especially as OP mentions that his current table...

Re: 10/20 AA fold Full Ring
Probably time to get out of dodge on the turn then. Most of the 10/20 people tricky enough to worry about you would have more hands on. I hate laying down AA on this kind of board but by the turn...

Re: 10/20 AA fold Full Ring
Personally I need more than just a few hundred hands in PT in terms of player knowledge to fold here. Also, what's his image of you right now? How aggressive/and or tricky he is plays into it also....

Re: W$SD...leak?
It's a bit low but it depends on your style, an aggro LAG can make this # work just fine by winning a higher % of the larger pots. Chances are however you are making too many calls against your gut...

Re: Party Poker Shortstack Abuse
Along those lines, I think asking party to open 6max, SH & HU tables similar to Pokerroom or Prima is the approach most likely to have success, emphasizing that there is a market for such tables &...

Re: a development
The debate wasn't whether he should call but whether he should insta call and I don't see anything unreasonable about pausing for a few seconds when calling $13k preflop with 88. Doubtless he came...

I can't speak to all of it but he's been on all day and I was on 2 of the tables earlier when he built up 2 of those stacks from initial buyins to over 10k. He's been running well and when a tough...

Re: someone make sense of this for me please (LC)
This is what happens when you downshift so many gears at once, it's hard to go from playing your best game vs tough opposition at 10/25 to letting donks hand you their money at 2/5.
He thought he...

Re: Restealing.
Personally I tend not to think of it as defending the blinds per se as attacking an opponent who is overplaying his cards too often, the $ in the pot is somewhat irrelevant because any substantial...

Re: Split the NL forums again?
I've been advocating this for quite a while though personally I think the higher end dividing line is 5/10 6 max or 10/20, the 5/10 full ring tends to play a lot more like the 2/4 than the 10/20 in...

Re: 5-10nl vast overbet reraise on flop
You truly have to know your opponent cold to consider laying this down here since QJ is a rather unlikely reraising hand in most situations. Just call and shrug if you ran into QQ here, QQ is the...
