Re: Poker Bot piece
[ QUOTE ]
Once the algorithms the bot follows are figured out, all we have to do is induce them to fold. All you have to do is realize who the bots are.
I'm not sure exactly how they work, but if...

Re: MuckDigger - shows you mucked cards
I apologize.
I didn't know the hand history could contain hands that weren't shown. I assumed the software always showed hands that were known regardless of whether someone requested to see...

Re: MuckDigger - shows you mucked cards
This appears to be bullshit to me. A reasonable protocol for running a poker game would be to not send any unnecessary info to a client/player.
That means that as far as card info is concerned,...

Re: Would anyone like this software?
I think taking screen shots is undetectable... therefore gathering info from the poker client is not detectable.
Generating mouse clicks and keyboard events look the same whether it's a human...

Re: ATs big pot
I prefer raising the flop. It gives me lots of information.
I definitely fold the turn.

Re: It\'s hard to do
If you know 10 cards instead of 2, you have a big advantage. However, this doesn't easily translate into making big money.
The reason you don't make big money is that you cannot act on this...

It\'s hard to do
I agree. I am a computer scientist and can judge the feasiblity of a project such as this.
To collude undetected would be very hard. It would take so much work that it's not worth it.
There's...

Preflop Bot for Pacific Poker
I have a working fold-only preflop bot for Pacific Poker. It's awesome! I don't have to set my sandwich down to hit the fold button anymore! I don't have to rush back from the bathroom just to...

Re: Am I too stupid for poker?
It is possible that you are too stupid, to use your words. I'm sure you aren't really stupid, but you probably have zero poker talent.
I think many winning players underestimate how much natural...

Re: Thanks for all the responses...
I feel the same way. I detest tedious, repetitive work. If I don't quit playing poker, I will eventually go insane from constantly wasting time hitting that F'ing fold button over and over and over...

Re: QTs in BB, scare card
I'd raise preflop. Is there something wrong with that? Nobody has said anything about the preflop, so maybe I'm -EV by raising QTs from the BB.
I'd call the turn. As a general rule of thumb, I...

Re: Bump
Sometimes it might be okay to call and fold the river. I highly doubt you are still ahead, but sometimes people take shots at you just to see if you really have something. I'd usually fold this.

Re: fold the river?
Easy raise and reraise if possible on the flop.
If there's still 4 people on the turn, one of them very likely has an ace.
On the river, if there's still someone betting, and in addition to...

Re: A4s flop decision
A lot of the 2/4 tables I've played lately are tight with 3 to 5 seeing the flop. It's a preflop fold under those circumstances.
My first thought was to call. However, I'm not folding this...
