Re: OTAY.. HERE IS A SIMPLE 3RD STREET HAND...

Congratulations! I'm still easing my way back after the birth of my daughter 8 months ago. Once she started sleeping through the night (at about 4 months) my poker life, which had been on hold,...

Re: OTAY.. HERE IS A SIMPLE 3RD STREET HAND...

Not that often, true, but it does happen. Playing 5/10 at Party, I see a **LOT** of people bringing it in for the full bet with a pair and no kicker (for instance, pair of sixes with a 3 kicker). ...

Re: OTAY.. HERE IS A SIMPLE 3RD STREET HAND...

Raise. With diamonds, 8's and Kings all live and no Aces out, you can win this here on 3rd, or with continued betting on 4th and/or 5th, with or without improvement.

Re: What Percentage Hands to Play

[ QUOTE ]
Suppose the ante was 0, there was no bring in, you never saw any player at the table fold before 7th street, and there was betting on every round. Would you only start with rolled up...

Re: Tournament question

With 1300 in chips, you just anted 100 and brought it in for 200, leavind you with 1000, or enough for 8 more antes and a bring in. Less if you're the bring in more than once. In a tournament...

Re: I just have to say this..

I know hindsight is 20/20... but I hate when I look back a couple days after a bad session (like the one you describe) and only in retrospect does it occur that you played like a bonehead. If I had...

Re: What Percentage Hands to Play

I disagree that you should loosen up just because your opponents are. If the ante structure favors looser play, then I would agree that in that instance, you should loosen your starting hand...

This was the perfect spot to call with a hand such as this.
1. He has all overcards to the board

That's true technically, but 8 & T aren't much of an overcard, and...

Re: best structured smallish stud games on the \'net?

The 5-10 at Party is $0.50 ante/$2 bring in, just like at B&M.

Re: Fold on fifth?

You should have folded on 3rd, but once you're in it, there's no way you can fold on 5th. Other than having made your hand already on 5th, what else could you want other than a totally live 4-str...

Re: To Bet the River or not?

My rule of thumb is "Will I get a call from a hand worse than mine." Will opponent 1 call with Aces up or Kings up? Will opponent 2 call with a busted flush by 2 pair? If either of these is a yes,...

Re: RESULTS of\"A ,K High Flush..\"

I think it's a bad idea to fold a A-hi flush on 5th to a raise from a tight player showing a paired doorcard.

Re: I Almost Snapped :LONG:
