Re: How much to bet?
Betting 450 into a 300 chip pot is a little high, although it worked out well here, as both of the callers probably figured you were trying to steal the pot. Not a bad deception to run now and then....

His second consecutive push...
Is this worth a call? The guy is pretty LAG, and this is the second time in a a row he's pushed. (Later he pushes the next 4 hands in a row, and I think back and wish I had called here).

Am I playing with fire?
First hand of the tourney, so I have no reads, but I have the strong feeling that villain does not want any callers PF. So, I challenge him on the flop, despite the queen, and he backs off. I'm...

Re: laydown straight?
[ QUOTE ]

The flop was checked around. It was the caller that made me think twice -- looked to me like a low flush draw who...

laydown straight?
I felt like this was a pretty clear laydown at the time, but now I'm wondering if anyone else has another opinion. In retrospect, it looks too wussy. (Note that I planned to raise the turn bet...

Re: Flame away, I called a big raise w/ T8s.
I agree with the basic premise that you need to mix up your play and be creative to keep your opponents off balance. I also agree that chances are he doesn't want a call and is just looking to try...

Any merit in this? Can anything rationalize it?

Re: fold set of 2\'s on the flop?
They could have A4, A5, two pair, Kx of diamonds, or any number of other hands. I read somewhere that you should never lay down trips, and this probably isn't far from the truth. I'm not saying...

Re: My most difficult flop ever - Am I weak?
You probably could have kicked the SB out with a nice-sized pre-flop reraise. (But if he's willing to push with that hand after a bet and call, who knows?)
I've often found myself getting nailed...

Thanks for the input, guys. From what I've read, I think those in favor of folding have the better of it, but calling is not entirely unreasonable.
