I probably would have played it the same way. To my knowledge, there's not much you can do when someone is willing to take the risks involved in playing their KK that deceptively. Make a note on him, and try to flop more sets. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Just ran into a bad hand and the guy did a nice job of setting the trap by just calling through

I don't like the guy's slowplay here. There's a flush and straight draw, and hero's draw to trips. I think he should have pushed on the flop.

Slowplaying overcards seems to have come up a lot recently ... I'm still sticking with the fact that it's generally a very bad idea.

Amen to that, I'm with you, trying to be clever when you aint is a recipe for getting your aces cracked by rags.

Turn bet
 

Anyone think the all-in was too high of a bet considering it is the first hand of the tourney? I obviously put him on T, flush draw or overcards and wanted to push him out at that point. I had a similar hand where I pushed queens as an overpair on the turn against a floped set that called a rather large flop bet. I know you have to eat these type of hands every once in a while, but am starting to wonder if a flop call of a large bet is a warning sign I should be paying attention to.
