Half your stack on a suited ace?

Third level in the Party Friday Special. Villian hasn't been at table long so I am without any reads.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

saw flop
UTG (t1200)
UTG+1 (t865)
UTG+2 (t3405)
Hero (t1075)
MP2 (t1125)
MP3 (t2985)
CO (t1710)
Button (t555)
SB (t1735)
BB (t610)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero calls t30, 4 folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t90) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets t55, SB folds, BB bets t580 (all in), Hero ???

I think this is a bluff or semibluff often enough that I should call. Also this could be a jack or worse ace. Who's making the call here?

I need a read to make this call.

That bet screams flush draw to me, but that does not really mean I am calling, cause who knows in these damn things.
When I get check-raised by one of the blinds in an unraised pot I basically always give them credit for at least bottom two pair.

Re: Half your stack on a suited ace?

I put his range of hands as:

Two clubs, J3,

Just about any ace
- I'm ahead of A2, A4, A5, A6 and behind A3, A8, A9, AT, AJ, AQ... I'm thinking AK reraises preflop (maybe AQ) but it's still a posibility. Also I don't think AJ is pushing here with top two. So I really only think I'm behind A3, A8, A9, AT. Which gives me 4 aces I'm ahead of and 4 I'm behind.

Also throw in the chance he is bluffing because he thinks I don't have anything and was just betting because I had position and this makes it pretty close to a call.

I fold this PF- and for this exact reason.

a definite pre-flop fold.. people don't play these hands in MP for precisely this reason.. it's hard to tell where you're at when the ace hits

Looks like you already decided to stay with it, and are making arguments for it. If you feel you have a good read then go for it.
Unlike the others I will play Ax preflop, however I always get out unless I hit two pair, or a pair plus nut flush draw.

crappy situation all around.

His push is Ax X>7 as often as it is a flush draw. Not really enough in the pot for this call. 100 chips more, and I would call.

This sounds like chip spewing to me.
