PP $11 - Bubble hand. Push 66 or hold on for shorty to crap out

Generally I don't like "hoping" I can hold on for ITM, but in this case I figured shorty for a sure call. In turn, BB would then be nearly obligated to call any two getting better than 2:1 and a chance to knock 2 players out. So, my 66 doesn't look so good against two opponents and if shorty beats me I am f'd.

I think shorty would fold most hands here in fact, being as he hasn't posted a small blind (there isn't one in this hand). So it all comes down to how tight the big stack is. You need reads in other words

Considering the calling range of either, I think this is a very reasonable laydown.

Yeah. I think shortie will fold a lot hoping big stack looks him up though.

True. SB's sphincter is much tighter when we push here ("p-p-p-p-pleeeeease BB call!").

Edit: Yeah, a read on BB would tip the scale here. Looking at the numbers, it swings pretty drastically depending on where you put him. I think a reasonable range still puts this in the gray area. I wouldn't hate a push if you (OP) told me he was as tight as a gnat's ass stretched over an oil drum.

I'd fold and watch another orbit.

I'm worried about the big stack looking me up more than anything. On the flipside, some big stacks wouldn't call you both down (correctly or not) if they have that 'sit on my chips' disposition--it's read dependent, I agree.

Intuitively speaking, this hand screams of the last thing I see before a "You finished 4th place" popup.

I had shorty on a sure call cuz he had been loose and just took a rather bad beat. But I definitely see your "p-p-p-p-please call" point.

In that event, BB would call.

BB was not incredibly tight himself, so he's calling a medium range if shorty folds.
