make it about 225 to go preflop

I liked the 125 pf. Did what I needed, as it narrowed down the field to me and another person. I want to know what you think of the push.

Re: $55: What do you think?

The push is horrible Jess, b/c you are only going to be called by a hand that has you beat, and the pot is not that large to justify a push. Even though you have AA, your hand shrivled up to 72o the minute that flop hit.

Though I have never personally done it, I dont think checking is a bad play here for a flop of that texture. I think that even if you make a continuation bet of 125-150, top pair + draws are still gonna call you, you become more pot committed, have a tough turn decision and a lot of cards that are gonna scare you $hitless.

Remember, you can always steal that amount later for ALOT less risk at Level 4/5.

Re: $55: What do you think?

Raise more preflop. There's t120 in minraises, plus t45, and you're only reraising back to t125? I would have made it t160 at least.

Once you're on the flop, that's a real scary board, but there is quite a bit of money in the middle.

The push is interesting. It's an overbet, but people have a lot of outs on this board. I think it might work, considering a queen will call here.

I don't play at the $55 level but I like the push. Your villian will fold a lot of hands here I think.

A queen without a draw is not gonna call here often enough at the 55s to make this profitible.

Typical 55 player with AQ/KQ folds? (Assuming they didn't fold PF)

Bad push. Bet 2/3 pot, and the rest is read-dependent (i.e. do you call if he pushes, blah)

I'm with the raise more preflop gang
