Poker Lingo, \"Ship it\". Does anybody know what this means?

I've heard this from a couple of guys who play B&M and then heard the same thing on a TV tourney.

It means, for lack of a better term, "GIMME THAT POT HEHE"

It's more of a playful taunt, although at times it can be very maliciously intended to piss off another player.

Usually used whenever someone wins a pot, usually by suckout.

That's exaclty what happened. The guy caught a 3 for a str8 after calling an "all-in" re-raise. The re-raiser was holding a set.

Thanks for the info.

There's only one time i use ship it:
I elect to straddle and elect to take my option and 3 bet or cap preflop.
After this if i win at showdown and my hand is something really horrible (like 72o), i say SHIP IT! 72o gut!

It is a pretty [censored] lame phrase, but it can be fun if you win a pot with really shitty cards.

"Ship it" like a lot of modern day poker terms originated from a game called Magic: The Gathering. It means to give someone something, usually from across the table. (Ship me that pen, barn).

The term that everyone's talking about is actually "Send it" which means "I'm excited that I just drew out. Give me the pot dealer!"

'Ship It' is about as lame as when Eddie Towne - our 4th favorite character from ESPN's 'Tilt' - kept saying 'Next case' after he won a big pot.

Just brutal.
