Question about multitabling

I have a question regarding multitabling. Say I start up 4 sngs if I bust out of one should I start up another right away? or do I finish off all 4 and then start up 4 new ones? I know it might be personal preference but was just wondering if there was an overall view on this.

I start one right when I finish one.

let your time commitment decide when you start a new one. Determine how much time you have to multi-table. Its more efficient to keep firing them up... as you bust or place.

BRILLIANT

Thanks I had been doing the start one when you finish one but just wasnt sure if having some at different levels would throw me off my game

You may want to use the "extra time" to concentrate more on your running SnGs and increase your ability to read a bit. When 8 tabling constantly I can't tell you how many times I've gotten ITM and don't even know how my opponents play.

But for some all that matters is the number of games they get in per day. It doesn't bother me at all if I only play 12 in a day or if I play 50.

I know there will always be another table to load up tomorrow, next week, next year. But if I were doing this for a living I'd probably lean more towards constantly running tables.

Just an untested idea....

When/If I ever get to 4-tabling I'm going to run them in pairs. I'll start 2, when they get to the start of level 4, I'll start 2 more. That way I'll I should have a pair of low-level tables to play ABC and two tables to concentrate on .

I'm just a rookie. I could be wrong.

That's a good idea for starting out IMO, but when the moves start to get automatic, 4-tabling continuously with all of them shorthanded is not a big deal. I talk on AIM and surf webboards while I do mine.

I agree...I am actually playing 4 right now as I type this. I am waiting on the damn video card to get here so I can start 8 tabling...maybe I will actually have to concentrate.
