Catching a cold from the A/C
Every spring I catch a chest cold after I start using my A/C. I have central air and do not have any problems when I use heat in the winter.
Would using an air filter of some sort help prevent or lessen the severity of the cold? It usually lasts 6-8 weeks. |

However they dont make a filter that would actually filter out the virus that causes a cold. Not that the virus that causes a cold is laying dormant in yout A/C anyway....which is why this makes no sense |
Re: Catching a cold from the A/C
You probably have allergies and not a cold. Just stating the obvious.

My read is that you're the sniffly nerdy kid with the allergies.

Re: Catching a cold from the A/C
Buy an ionizing humidifier. See if that helps. It will keep the air moister, but not heat it up at all like a steam humidifier could.
Freakin P.S. Keep your finger away from the ionizer in the humidifier.... |
